"He Bore My Sins"

Sorry to all that ever read.... its been a while, but soccer is over and I have alot -well not all that much actually- extra time on my hands, so check back here more often because I plan to post more. Well here is a -for lack of a better word- "prayer poem". I wrote it this past week as a prayer of thankfulness, but I also would like to share it with others so that they may be in thankful prayer with me.

"He Bore My Sins"

Transgressions blotted out, sins forgiven;
Mercy bestowed by your son you have given.

A shepherd so willing to die for His Sheep,
An everlasting covenant He promises to keep.

The yoke of His elect he bore on His back,
Taking on their sin, but His own He did lack.

That crown of thorns I forced on His head,
The nails that I drove caused His blood to flow red.

Thanks be to God for my savior, my Surety,
Oh! how I disgraced Him with my putrid unpurity.

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved." -Psalm 55:22
